
HEAD OF GROUP FINANCIAL CONTROL AND REPORTING (F/M/D)

We are currently looking for a Head of Group Financial Control and Reporting to lead the preparation of best-in-class reporting (incl. statutory accounts and management reporting), develop and maintain an effective financial controls framework, and manage the external audit process. You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:
- Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS, and the preparation of integrated annual and quarterly reports.
- Manage the external audit processes for the Group and its subsidiaries throughout the year, acting as the main point of contact with external auditors.
- Be a key liaison on all material accounting matters and IFRS standards for the Group and stay updated on key developments in the external reporting landscape.
- Lead on the work for key judgements and estimates for the Group, including impairment testing, business combinations, derivatives accounting.
- Drive the development and maintenance of an effective financial controls framework.
- Ensure appropriate controls are designed, implemented, and operated throughout reporting cycles to mitigate and manage risk effectively.
- Lead the preparation of internal monthly and quarterly management reports and presentations for senior leadership.
- Drive the EU taxonomy and CSRD reporting process (including limited assurance by external auditor).
- Manage a professional team, encouraging results-oriented performance and professional growth.
- Partner with accounting, FP&A, risk, investor relations, and other finance teams.
Required for this position:
- 10+ years of experience in financial accounting, reporting and control
- Proficient understanding of financial audit and IFRS requirements
- In-depth experience of delivering the financial consolidation and producing statutory financial statements
- Genuine passion for the creation and delivery of best-in-class reporting
- Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret complex data and present it in a clear and concise manner
- Interpersonal skills that enable you to build effective, trusting relationships with different teams, while retaining the ability to challenge with empathy and understanding
- Proficiency in English
Would be an advantage:
- ACCA or similar qualification
- Experience in energy sector
- Experience in a listed company
- Experience with CSRD/EU Taxonomy/ESG reporting
