10 lifesaving rules

Safety at work is a top priority in the daily activities of both the employees of Ignitis Group and the Group’s Suppliers. Every working day requires a high level of responsibility and constant vigilance, and even a minor mistake can have serious consequences.

To jointly reduce the risk of accidents and strengthen a responsible work culture across the entire supply chain, we share with Suppliers the Ignitis Group’s 10 life-saving rules and their explanations. These rules, grounded in international principles, help identify hazards, prevent injuries, and ensure a safe working environment.

We encourage Suppliers to familiarize themselves with these rules and apply them in their operations, thereby contributing to the creation of a safe, responsible, and professional work environment for all employees."

Reducing greenhouse gas emissions – mission possible

Greenhouse gases (GHGs) are becoming increasingly important for businesses and society. To help suppliers gain a clear understanding of this topic, we have introduced the GHG basics training.

The session provides an overview of what GHGs are, the main types of emissions, and their impact on the environment and business operations. It also introduces the most widely recognized international GHG accounting and reporting standards, along with ways to support sustainability by implementing GHG management within the organization.

Additional resources for GHG emission calculations:

GHG Protocol – Comprehensive information on GHG accounting, applicable standards, publicly available calculation tools, online courses, and other relevant resources.

ISO 14064 – An international standard specifying requirements for GHG calculation. The methodology is closely related to the GHG Protocol.

Ecoinvent, Carbon Database Initiative – Databases providing detailed GHG emission data for various sectors, processes, and product life cycle stages.

Envirodec, EPDHub – Libraries and databases of environmental product declarations, where you can find specific products by manufacturer or country.
