
HEALTH AND SAFETY O&M SPECIALIST (F/N/D) I IGNITIS RENEWABLES
The Operations and Maintenance Health and Safety Specialist ensures that all operational and maintenance activities are conducted safely and in compliance with health and safety standards across all Ignitis Renewables operational countries. This role focuses on identifying risks, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, and promoting a safety-first culture among teams involved in the operation and maintenance of equipment, facilities, and infrastructure. Work Environment: This role working in Renewables parks such as Wind Farms, Solar Farms and battery Energy Storage facilities. Physical activity such as walking, climbing the wind turbines will be required and will be part of the day to day job.

You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:
- Create and apply safety policies and guidelines for O&M activities and equipment use
- Perform risk assessments and job hazard analyses (JHAs) to identify hazards and implement controls for safe O&M activities
- Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and maintain reports for HSSE review
- Oversee contractor activities, ensuring compliance with safety rules, work permits, and scope execution across sites
- Align safety efforts across teams, contractors, and authorities while promoting a strong safety culture
- Develop, implement, and test emergency procedures with O&M teams to ensure readiness and compliance.
Required for this position:
- Higher education in health and safety studies
- Certifications such as NEBOSH or equivalent are highly advantages. (training will be provided)
- 5 years of experience as Specialist in the O&M field or similar
- GWO or relevant qualifications, Working at height qualifications
- Compliance with the legislation regulating the qualification requirements of a health and safety specialist
- Have willingness to take further education as may be necessary in regard to the specific industry requirements
- Have ability to travel and stay overnight on as required basis
