We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Ignitis Renewables Latvia team on a fixed-term contract for 12 months, with an opportunity to become permanent. In this role, you will help us take care of business projects (Operational & Maintenance, Construction, Wind & Solar Parks). You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:

  • Ensuring compliance with business risk management and HSSE policies, including occupational safety, health, and environmental protection regulations
  • Visiting business projects (Operational & Maintenance, Construction, Wind & Solar Parks) across Latvia to ensure adherence to safety rules and company standards
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to contractors and site personnel, ensuring proper implementation and compliance with HSSE standards
  • Assessing and managing risks related to company activities, coordinating the implementation of risk management measures, and enforcing preventive actions
  • Leading safety programs by overseeing induction processes, occupational health assessments, and other relevant training for regional employees
  • Preparing and analyzing reports on incidents, safety trends, and statistical data for direct management
  • Collaborating with Ignitis Group colleagues to share best practices and improve overall HSSE performance
  • Supporting business operations by assisting with employee substitutions when needed, executing assigned tasks, and contributing to company-wide strategic objectives.

Required for this position:

  • Formal qualification in Health and Safety (NEBOSH, IOSH, NCRQ, Poland – OSH, etc.)
  • At least 5 years of experience in a health and safety position within prevention, risk management, and/or compliance, preferably in an international company
  • Several years of demonstrated construction Health and Safety experience, with competence to work as a Site Safety Coordinator
  • Demonstrable knowledge of European QHSSE legislation, standards, and systems
  • Strong leadership skills to drive health, safety, environmental, and quality improvements
  • Proficiency in Latvian and English (oral and written) as this role involves regular communication with international colleagues and partners 
  • Comfort working at heights and willingness to travel.
