JUNIOR WIND ENERGY YIELD ASSESSMENT ANALYST (F/M/D) I IGNITIS RENEWABLES

Vilnius
Full-time
Salary from 2641 to 3962 €

We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Wind Engineering team at Ignitis Renewables, where you’ll contribute to energy yield assessments and wind farm layout optimisation for onshore wind projects, helping to ensure reliable energy forecasts and project success through data-driven analysis. If that speaks to you, we’d be happy to welcome you to our team!

Take YOUR part in #EnergySmart!

You will contribute to a green and secure energy ecosystem by:

  • Analyzing meteorological data (wind speed, direction, shear, turbulence, etc.) to develop accurate models for energy yield assessments
  • Performing layout optimisation considering environmental constraints (e.g. bat/bird, shadow, and noise curtailments) and other constraints imposed by planning authorities, transmission system operators, and other relevant stakeholders
  • Conducting wind resource and energy yield assessments (WRA/EYA) for onshore wind farms under development to estimate the potential annual energy production (AEP) under varying wind conditions, and preparing technical notes or reports explaining the methodology and results
  • Using industry-standard and internal tools to assess wind resource, evaluate turbine layouts, and estimate potential energy output
  • Collaborating with engineers, data analysts, project developers, and M&A teams to integrate energy yield insights into project design and financial models
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, environmental requirements, and best practices for WRA and EYA
  • Expanding your knowledge of wind resource assessment and EYA methodologies under the guidance of experienced team members.

Required for this position:

  • An academic degree in engineering, meteorology, renewable energy, physics, or a related field
  • Introductory knowledge of the energy sector, preferably wind energy
  • Basic understanding of wind physics and wind energy technology
  • Familiarity with data processing and analysis methods, and beginner-level experience in statistics
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.

Would be an advantage:

  • Exposure to wind measurement data analysis and wind energy modelling applications (e.g., WindPRO or similar)
  • Experience with GIS tools or programming (e.g., Python).

In return for creating a more sustainable future, we promise:

  • To take part in an unfolding energy transformation process to create a 100% green and secure energy ecosystem for both current and future generations
  • International team that is working on dynamic renewable energy projects
  • A hybrid work model (3+2) and flexible working hours
  • Extensive learning and qualification enhancement programs
  • Attention to physical and emotional health: wellness mentor initiatives and psychological support, etc.
  • Additional paid days for health improvement, short-term illness, volunteering, and accumulated work experience
  • A package of additional benefits to choose from: pension accumulation, health insurance, or another benefit from the selectable benefits list in the MELP application.

Join a growing and increasingly international team of energy smart people united by a common purpose. We all play our part in creating a 100% green and secure energy ecosystem for current and future generations.
