We are currently seeking a new colleague to join our Energy Trading team. In this role, you’ll build and maintain forecasting models to predict energy generation and consumption using advanced statistical and machine-learning techniques. You’ll help build a green, secure energy ecosystem by:

  • Building, testing, and continuously refining predictive models to adapt to evolving market and weather conditions
  • Playing a key role in developing and deploying algorithmic trading strategies for the intraday power markets - and actively participating in trading operations

Required for this position:

  • University degree (Data Science, Statistics, Computer science, Mathematics, Physics, Econometrics or a closely related field)
  • Practical experience with Python, SQL, Git.
  • Practical experience in training neural network models (CNN's or RNN's) for regression tasks using pytorch or Tensorflow
  • Experience in applying data science and machine learning techniques to build forecasting models, performing rigorous statistical testing
  • Proactiveness, responsibility, collaboratives and attentiveness to details
  • Eagerness to learn energy market specifics
  • Great communication skills in English (writing and speaking)

Would be an advantage: 

  • Linux, Apache Airflow, building API microservices (Flask, Fast API, etc.) and small scale Python applications

Salary range for this position group

is 3267 to 4900 EUR (before taxes). The final offer depends on experience and competence. Variable part of remuneration may be paid depending on results.
