We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Engineering team of Ignitis Renewables, where you’ll take care of structural design checks and construction oversight ensuring safe, efficient, and sustainable infrastructure development. You will contribute to the creation of a green and secure energy ecosystem by:

  • Utilizing computer-aided design tools (e.g., AutoCAD) and performing structural calculations if required 
  • Applying expertise in foundation bearing capacity, reinforced concrete, and steel structures to support renewable energy projects 
  • Supporting design review and permitting processes to ensure compliance with regulatory standards 
  • Applying knowledge of infrastructure and road design to make suggestions for optimizing access to sites  
  • Conducting site inspections to verify installation of structure quality, compliance with design specifications Collaborating with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders 
  • Reviewing and approving contractors’ method of statements to ensure alignment with design. Ensuring that civil designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and manufacturer requirements 

Required for this position:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in structural design, with a strong understanding of structural design regulations 
  • Proficiency in geotechnical design and soil behavior 
  • Knowledge or experience in renewable energy projects (onshore/offshore wind engineering, PV solar engineering, energy storage) is beneficial but not mandatory 
  • Strong understanding of construction methods and infrastructure projects 
  • Proficiency in structural design tools (e.g., AutoCAD) 
  • Proficiency in both Latvian and English (oral and written), essential for regular communication with international colleagues and partners 
  • A valid B-category driving license
