Ignitis Group achieves prestigious CDP ‘A’ score for environmental leadership
Ignitis Group has been recognised by CDP, a global environmental non-profit, for its leadership in corporate transparency and performance on climate change, securing a place on CDP’s respected annual A List.
CDP operates the world’s only independent environmental disclosure system and assesses thousands of companies each year, having spent 25 years building the world’s most trusted environmental data system. In 2025, nearly 20,000 companies were scored, out of more than 22,100 reporting through CDP’s platform. Achieving a score of ‘A’ places Ignitis Group among the global leaders, which demonstrates its comprehensive disclosure, mature environmental governance practices, and meaningful progress towards environmental resilience. Securing a place on the A List means that the company is among the top 4% of companies scored by CDP.
“Making to the CDP’s A List confirms that sustainability is deeply embedded in Ignitis Group’s strategy and decision-making. We are particularly pleased to be the only Lithuanian company on this list. It shows that we see climate action not only as a responsibility, but as a driver of long-term value, resilience, and trust among our stakeholders,” says Valentas Neviera, Head of Group Sustainability at Ignitis Group.
CDP’s scoring draws on a rigorous and independent methodology, aligned with the TCFD framework. It evaluates companies’ depth of reporting, understanding of environmental risks, and evidence of applying the best practices, including ambitious target-setting and verified action. CDP maintains the world’s largest repository of environmental information and is widely relied on to guide investment and procurement decisions that support a net-zero, sustainable and earth-positive global economy.
In 2025, 640 investors with $127 trillion in assets requested CDP to collect data on environmental impacts, risks, and opportunities, seeking the information they need to allocate capital, manage their portfolios, and inform their strategy.
Ignitis Group remains committed to its mature practices, which resulted in the score of ‘A’ and demonstrate clear dedication to transparency and strategy execution.
