Employees growth
Curious, courageous, every day—these words capture the essence of growth at Ignitis Group. Our learning and development ecosystem empowers colleagues to continuously enhance their professional, personal, strategic, and expert competences, fostering a culture of perpetual improvement and innovation.
#EnergySmart UNI
Strategic competences are vital strengths that drive Ignitis Group's long-term strategy and competitive edge. These competencies are essential for every employee, regardless of position. #EnergySmart UNI is Ignitis Group's strategic competence university, where we collaboratively develop the Group's four strategic competences: Entrepreneurship, Adaptability, Energy Expertise, Sustainovation. Together, we build a foundation for success and sustainability.
GROW academy
At Ignitis Group, we embrace a culture of continuous learning. GROW Academy exemplifies this with its hybrid learning platform, engaging over 2,000 employees annually through the initiative of internal speakers. The academy offers online, live, and video training courses covering work-related topics, digital competences, and personal growth. Each year, GROW Academy presents over 30 diverse topics and encourages employees to share their knowledge as internal lecturers, fostering a collaborative and enriching learning environment.
Well-being club
At Ignitis Group, we recognize that emotional and physical health is essential for employee well-being. Our Well-being Club offers a variety of initiatives to support this, including Health Month activities, mindfulness exercises, and video bites on emotional well-being. Additionally, our mentors provide ongoing support, and employees have access to a dedicated psychology helpline. These resources aim to create a supportive environment where every team member can thrive.
Developing expert competence
At Ignitis Group, our colleagues are experts in diverse fields, from engineering to financial control. We prioritize maintaining and upgrading the skills of our energy experts, enhancing English language proficiency, and growing digital competences. Additionally, we emphasize mentoring and succession planning to ensure continuous improvement and leadership development within our team.
Leadership development
At Ignitis Group, we prioritize leadership that fosters openness, inspires collaboration, and drives growth. Our leaders empower individuals to take responsibility and create positive change, cultivating a dynamic and supportive workplace where everyone can thrive.
Leadership compassLeadership is a journey where the Group's colleagues are guided by a leadership compass. This is an index of four statements that describe the values-based leadership direction of an organisation:

Leadership development is crucial to us. The Ignitis Group Leadership Map includes 4 main leadership programs:
Potential programme
This programme is designed for professionals with high potential for team leadership and performance. It focuses on business continuity, shift management, and workload distribution within the team, preparing future leaders to excel in managing and guiding their teams effectively.
Leaders growing programme
One of our longest-running executive development programmes, consisting of three modules. It equips newly-joined or mid-career managers with a unified understanding of leadership, delegation, cognitive behavior, team dynamics, and coaching leadership.
The leaders' journey
The leaders' journey is a hybrid leadership program for all managers within the Group. This innovative, multi-format program emphasizes team-building conversations, managing challenging team dynamics, fostering responsibility and empowerment, and creating strengths-based partnerships.
Expedition
A development package offering international leadership programmes for top-level managers. It encourages the learning of best practices from abroad and the application of this knowledge within the Group.
Newcomer's experience
We understand that the first days and months are crucial for building a strong foundation for future collaboration. During the onboarding period, we create a hybrid, interactive experience for new team members. Colleagues joining the Group participate in office tours, attend Newcomer Week sessions where they learn about Ignitis Group's activities, and navigate their onboarding journey using virtual tools like “Newcomer” and “Greentown”, which provide essential information throughout the first three months.
Raise a “Newcomer”
"Newcomer" is an interactive game for new Ignitis Group employees, designed to help you get to know the Group better during your first three months. By nurturing a virtual plant, you gain knowledge about the working environment, company details, and the Group’s activities. Each milestone — from the first day to the first month — requires applying what you’ve learned, helping your Newcomer plant grow as you do.
Supply Energy to "Greentown"
"Greentown" is a virtual three-month adaptation exercise for new managers at Ignitis Group. The goal is to light up the city by bringing four energy facilities — a combined heat and power plant, a wind farm, a hydroelectric power plant, and a solar power plant — online. As the new manager completes tasks from the first day, week, month, and third month, these facilities gradually start operating, supplying electricity to the city's buildings. This engaging exercise helps managers integrate and understand their role within the company.
