ELECTRICAL ENGINEER (F/M/D) | IGNITIS RENEWABLES
We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Electrical Engineering Team of the Ignitis Renewables, where you’ll be responsible for ensuring optimal electrical system design, managing grid connection processes, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive project success. You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:
- Support electrical design and development of renewable energy projects, including system layouts, component selection, technical requirements, and equipment maintenance support, ensuring efficiency, cost‑effectiveness, reliability, and standards compliance.
- Lead and support electrical engineering projects in collaboration with cross‑functional teams (PV, WTG, BESS, project management, construction) to ensure timely, on‑budget, and high‑quality delivery.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers and project teams, acting as the electrical engineering subject‑matter expert for renewable energy projects.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international electrical codes and standards, staying up to date with regulatory, technological, and internal requirement changes.
- Oversee testing, validation, and troubleshooting of electrical systems to meet design and performance requirements, supporting development, execution, and operations & maintenance activities.
- Engage effectively with clients, contractors, and suppliers, and drive innovation through continuous improvement, R&D initiatives, and adoption of new technologies.
Required for this position:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in renewable energy (solar, wind, or related sectors).
- Proven experience delivering electrical engineering projects, including design, testing, planning, or maintenance of renewable power plants and HV/MV transformer stations.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems, power generation and distribution, including HV/MV equipment (transformers, switchgear, circuit breakers, cables) and their operation and maintenance.
- Solid understanding of local and international electrical codes and standards, design requirement preparation, and evaluation, with awareness of environmental and sustainability considerations.
- Experience working with transmission and distribution networks, and preparing technical documentation, reports, and presentations for clients, utilities, contractors, and certification bodies.
- Good project management fundamentals, strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
