Elektroninių Mokėjimų Agentūra has a new CEO
Elektroninių Mokėjimų Agentūra (EMA), a subsidiary of an integrated renewable energy company, Ignitis Group, has a new CEO. She was approved by the Management Board of the Group and the Bank of Lithuania. Jurgita Blažienė is starting her five-year term on 9 July. She has extensive experience working in the largest banks and in the fin-tech sector.
The new CEO of EMA had joined PayRay Bank as a Chief Operating Officer three years ago. She later became the bank’s Management Board Member responsible for internal control, compliance and legal, prevention of money laundering, terrorist financing and international sanctions, outsourcing, credit analysis, debt collection and operations. Previously, J. Blažienė worked in SEB bank for over 20 years, where in the last two years she worked as Head of Operations Department and Baltic Head of Trading, Wealth & Securities Operations.
According to the Chair of the Board of EMA, Andrius Kavaliauskas, the extensive experience and personal traits of J. Blažienė will be very valuable. “Jurgita's impressive experience proves her ability to work effectively and find the right solutions in different environments. I have no doubts that she is bringing a strong know-how of the product and experience in risk management and compliance. The new CEO will have an equally important task of enabling her colleagues, demonstrating empathy and finding the right ways to cooperate with different individuals. Jurgita showcased her aptitude in all of this during the selection process,” assured A. Kavaliauskas.
From 2019 until February 2024 Elektroninių Mokėjimų Agentūra was run by Gabrielė Lubytė, who resigned after deciding to continue her career outside the Group.
The assessment of the eligibility of candidates was carried out by an external recruitment firm, J. Friisberg & Partners.
Elektroninių Mokėjimų Agentūra manages the system of collecting payments for utility services such as electricity, gas, water, heating, house cleaning, communications, waste collection and security via the website e.ignitis.lt.
