First in Lithuania: Ignitis Group’s procurement and supply chain management assessed in accordance with ISO 20400 Standard
An independent third party has confirmed that Ignitis Group’s procurement and supply chain management complies with the requirements of the ISO 20400 “Sustainable Procurement” standard. This is the first such compliance assessment in Lithuania, marking an important step towards the maturity of sustainable procurement practices – both within Ignitis Group and across the market.
“Sustainability principles have been consistently integrated into the Group’s procurement activities since 2021. Today, we can demonstrate not only readiness but also practical solutions and proven practices. The auditors identified no non-conformities, and this assessment confirms our progress,” says Inga Macijauskienė, Head of Group Procurement.
ISO 20400 is an international standard for sustainable procurement, providing guidelines on how organisations can ensure that procurement processes are not only efficient but also responsible, considering environmental, social and business ethics aspects. This assessment confirms that the procurement and supply chain management processes applied within Ignitis Group align with best practices and contribute to creating long-term value.
Compliance with the ISO 20400 standard will be reviewed annually during a surveillance audit, ensuring continuous adherence to the requirements and ongoing improvement of procurement and supply chain management processes.
This assessment reflects Ignitis Group’s consistent commitment to sustainable procurement and responsible collaboration with suppliers, creating value for business, society and the environment.
