Ignitis Group continues to strengthen its commitment to   sustainable and responsible cooperation with its partners. Between March and June 2026, the Group conducted a supplier assessment to evaluate compliance with the provisions of the Supplier Code of Ethics. The assessment showed that 97% of the suppliers participating in the survey apply high standards in their operations in the areas of social responsibility, environmental protection, business ethics, and governance.

How the supplier assessment was conducted

Suppliers with the most significant procurement contracts with the Group in terms of value were selected for the assessment. The value of their contracts accounted for 91% of the total value of the Group’s procurement contract portfolio. Random sampling was also used when selecting the sample of suppliers to be assessed, with the aim of ensuring that the most significant suppliers of the Group’s various companies were included in the assessment.

In total, 27% of the suppliers invited to participate in the assessment responded to the electronic questionnaire. The questionnaire covered all key areas of the Supplier Code of Ethics: social responsibility, environmental protection, business ethics, and governance. The largest portion of the questions (56%) was dedicated to social responsibility topics, including employee safety, working conditions, and human rights.

Environmental protection accounted for 25%, while business ethics and governance accounted for 19% of all questions.

Why this is important for the Ignitis Group’s supply chain

The Ignitis Group applies high legal, ethical, environmental, and social responsibility standards in its operations and expects its suppliers to adhere to the same principles. The Group’s Supplier Code of Ethics defines minimum standards of business conduct in the areas of environmental protection, social responsibility, and business ethics and governance, while the publicly available section Sustainability in Supplier Operations helps suppliers better understand expectations, best practices, and areas for improvement.

Next steps

Based on the results of the 2026 assessment, Ignitis Group plans to continue supplier education and collaboration in 2026–2027 in areas with the greatest potential for improvement: ensuring equal opportunities for employees, preventing workplace accidents, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. The Group aims to consistently strengthen responsible, transparent, and sustainable operations throughout the entire supply chain.
