Ignitis Group has been recognised as a “Governance Leader” in the annual Good Governance Index published by the Governance Coordination Centre (GCC). For the sixth consecutive year, Ignitis Group has been named the best-governed company among all state-owned enterprises and has received the highest A+ Governance Quality rating.

Ignitis Group, an integrated renewable energy company, received the highest overall rating in the 2023-2024 Governance Index, based on the assessment of three dimensions of corporate governance: transparency, collegial bodies, and strategic planning and implementation. In each of these areas, Ignitis Group attained the highest possible rating of A+, the same as last year.

“Being recognised as a Governance Leader confirms that our continuous efforts to enhance transparency, governance, and strategic planning are steering the Group in the right direction. Strong governance, consistency in strategy implementation, and a commitment to follow-through ensure long-term value for Lithuania, its citizens, and our shareholders,” says Mantas Mikalajūnas, Head of Regulated Activities at Ignitis Group.

Ignitis Group received high ratings in the GCC report for the independence of its collegial bodies, their competencies, the functions they perform, and the committees in place. Additionally, the Group’s strategic planning, implementation and monitoring of the strategy, as well as achievement of objectives set for state-owned enterprises were also highly rated.

The Good Governance Index, which has been compiled since 2012, is the most comprehensive tool for assessing the quality of governance among all Lithuanian state-owned enterprises. The GCC aims to assess and measure how state-owned enterprises implement the main good governance practices.
