Lietuvos Energija group and Hitachi signed a Memorandum of Understanding
The energy companies group Lietuvos Energija, UAB (Lietuvos Energija group) and Hitachi, Ltd. have signed a memorandum of understanding which lays down the framework to seek and concretize potential cooperation formats in a specific innovative non-nuclear energy technology fields. This memorandum of understanding has no financial obligations for the parties.
“Lietuvos Energija” group and Hitachi, Ltd are going to seek possibilities to cooperate in effective generation of heat and electricity, buildings’ energy management systems, smart grid and smart city technology, electrical cars and its infrastructure and in other innovative energy technologies fields.
“It is a possibility to familiarize with “Hitachi” know-how, their experience in development of cutting-edge technologies and discuss how it could be deployed in the Lithuanian energy sector”, - said Dr. Dalius Misiūnas, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Lietuvos Energija group.
“We hope that our situational analysis after the signing of memorandum of understanding will identify various cooperation opportunities for us to contribute to ensuring energy security in Lithuania and other Baltic states,” said Koji Tanaka, Executive Vice President of Hitachi, Ltd.
