Lietuvos Energija, one of the biggest energy groups in the Baltic countries, continues divestment of its non-core activities and resumes the sale of shares of Data Logistics Centre (DLC), one of the most advanced IT and telecommunications companies in the Baltic region, which provides data transmission and data centre services.

Lietuvos Energija resumes a sale of 79.64% of DLC shares it owns. Co-owner of DLC - Litgrid, also offers its 20.36% of DLC shares for sale.

“DLC is one of the most attractive companies in telecommunications industry. A great interest in the company can be felt in the market – during the sale in 2016, we received offers from over 20 potential investors. For this reason, we suppose that having resumed the sales procedure we will receive competitive offers as well and will finalise the divestment,” says Darius Kašauskas, chair of DLC’ Management Board and member of the Management Board of Lietuvos Energija as well as the director of the  Finance and Treasury Office.

DLC controls one of the most efficient data centres in the region, namely, Data INN, whose design and facility Uptime Institute was awarded Tier III certification. Besides, the company controls one more data centre in the centre of Vilnius.

In cooperation with its partners, the company owns an international data transmission network – Baltic Highway. The network has a contiguous optical connection, linking Tallinn with Frankfurt and the biggest as well as the longest cross-Baltic optical data transmission network – Baltic Optical Network. The total length of the optical fiber network infrastructure DLC owns with its partners amounts to 13,000 km with a total throughput of 10 Tbit/s.

Services offered by DLC are used by banks, telecommunication companies, internet and cloud computing services providers.
