The international energy company Ignitis Group demonstrated an impressive jump in this year’s Corporate Reputation Index. The company jumped from 33rd place to 12-13th, which is a record growth in the entire history of this index.

The reputation rating of Ignitis Group has increased significantly in the eyes of all the audiences interviewed during the survey. The highest growth was recorded among decision makers where the company rose over 40 positions. Public opinion rose by 17 positions and opinion leaders’ by 10.

"The last year for the “Ignitis Group” was a period of great transformation. We have renewed and introduced to our customers the products of the new energy era: we opened the largest network of electric vehicle charging stations in the country, we introduced the world's first remote solar power plant platform accessible to all households in the country. In addition, we continued to actively invest in startups that are developing new technologies in energy around the world and committed to reduce carbon dioxide emissions to zero by 2050.

Ignitis Group’s governance in 2019 was recognized as the best among state-owned companies and the latest results of the Corporate Reputation Index once again proved that a more sustainable future and an energy smart world are important for all our partners and the society," says Darius Maikštėnas, Chairman and CEO of Ignitis Group.

According to the authors of the study, such a jump in reputation in one year is the largest to date.

“Ignitis Group is this year's reputation growth leader. This is the biggest jump in the history of Corporate Reputation Index, which has apparently been influenced by a number of factors, from the company's financial strength, socially responsible activities to the new brand. While responding to the questions of survey, about 810 decision makers and opinion leaders evaluated all the company’s efforts, as well as a public opinion survey was conducted where 1007 respondents participated,” says Rūta Gaudiešienė, Head of Customer Centric Consultancy, a company that conducted the study with partners and a partner of consulting company Civitta.

Ignitis Group changed its brand and name in September last year, committing itself to create an energy-smart world. This goal and the goals related to a more sustainable future are also included in the Group’s strategy that was updated in June this year.

The Corporate Reputation Index survey was conducted for the fifth year in a row by the research company Customer Centric Consultancy together with the Investors’ Forum, the communication services agency Fabula Hill + Knowlton Strategies and Lithuanian Marketing Association (LiMA).
