Steps for businesses to accelerate their climate targets: an international event for Lithuanian companies
On 26 October business representatives are welcome to join the debate about climate targets, the upcoming regulation and its impact on day-to-day activities. The event held in Lithuania for the first time will be attended by experts from an international organisation CDP, which educates European companies and governments on environmental issues and helps tackle them.
Business representatives will have a unique opportunity to meet experts from CDP in person and learn how to pinpoint crucial solutions for mitigating climate change, take advantage of available opportunities and successfully compete in an environmentally conscious global market.
The event ‘Accelerating Climate Targets: Is Every Job Becoming a Climate Job?' will hold discussions on how business organisations can accelerate climate targets, adapt to the sustainability changes coming to Europe and how to disclose environmental data properly.
The event is organised by Ignitis Group and partners: CDP Europe, Lithuanian Confederation of Industrialists and Lithuanian Sustainable Business Association (LAVA).
The event focuses on opportunities for companies to strengthen their competitiveness while pursuing climate targets and gaining the edge in a sustainable world. Representatives from CDP Europe will share information on the EU’s sustainable finance regime and CDP's role in helping companies to prepare for it. Another topic on the agenda is the role of value chains in reaching environmental goals and transitioning to a net-zero economy.
The organisers welcome all Lithuanian companies and stakeholders to participate in the in-depth discussion on climate targets. The event is free and will take place at the Business Garden Vilnius conference centre, Laisvės Ave. 10, Vilnius.
You will find more information, programme and registration to the event here.
