Ignitis Renewables is continuing sustainable and close cooperation with communities that are located near the renewable energy projects under development, under construction or in operation. This year financial support was allocated for the projects of the communities from Tauragė, Mažeikiai, Kretinga (Lithuania) as well as Pomerania and Silesia (Poland). In 2023 the total funds allocated for funding the projects that improve the wellbeing of communities amounted EUR 350,000.

1. Support recipient: Cultural Heritage Center in Dzierzgoń
Support objective: Active open-air workshops of artists among wind farms
Support amount: PLN 55,609 (EUR 12,841.90)
The support recipient undertakes to implement the project by 31 July 2024.

2. Support recipient: Municipal Cultural Center Stary Targ
Support objective: Free access to the artistic and cultural events in the Stary Targ Municipality.
Support amount: EUR 9,555
The support recipient undertakes to implement the project by 31 October 2024.

3. Support recipient: People's Sports Team KS Starowice Dolne Grodkow
Support objective: Expansion of the sports base
Support amount: PLN 73,000 (EUR 16,858.04)
The support recipient undertakes to implement the project by 31August 2024.

4. Support recipient: Volunteer fire brigade in Dzierzgoń
Support objective: first aid and safety training in case of fire
Support amount: PLN 52,673.67 (EUR 12,164.04)
The support recipient undertakes to implement the project by 31 July 2024.

5. Support recipient: Association of residents of Jasna and its surroundings
Support objective: Optimisation of energy consumption in the Volunteer Fire Station and community centre in Jasna through Renewable Energy Sources – a 40 kWp photovoltaic installation
Support amount: PLN 186,000 (EUR 42,953.36)
The support recipient undertakes to implement the project by 31 January 2025.

6. Support recipient: Nadwislanska Development Foundation in Dzierzgoń
Support objective: Windmill run and nordic walking
Support amount: PLN 49,684.64 (EUR 11,473.78)
The support recipient undertakes to implement the project by 31 October 2024.

Depending on the application, certain grants were issued in PLN and certain in EUR. The project amount in EUR above displays approximate amounts calculated using PLN currency rates from December 18, 2023.
